Our friend Estela is opening a hand-made consignment shop in Enid, Oklahoma tomorrow! It’s called The Felt Bird. We are so excited for her for several reasons: first off, Oklahoma needs more places to buy local art and hand-made goodies! And secondly, our stuff will be sold there!
Estela is having a grand opening party tomorrow, with cupcakes and live music – a few of us from Tulsa are going to drive over to say hi and support her fabulous new store! I can’t wait to see it.

We hope to see you there!
We’ve got a few craft shows lined up for this fall (stay tuned for details!) and so I’ve been thinking, how can I display my stuff in a cohesive way, considering I’ve got lots of different kinds of items – cards, knit cufflets, snap pouches, prints, etc…
I decided on using wooden display props. I may paint them all purple, I’m not sure yet. But I thought up a design for a prop on which I could hang some of my pouches and other sewn items (if I manage to make any before the shows!). I drew out the design and then gave it to my Dad, who, I swear, can make just about anything. He built it in California and sent it over. I designed it as being collapsible, not only for shipping, but for taking to shows. Much easier if I can break it down and schlep it around when it’s flat.
Here it is right out of the box:
Can you figure out how I will be using it?
Kind of like this:
Not the greatest picture, but you get the idea.
The cat likes it.
