Welcome to the Paper Lotus Design Group site! Paper Lotus is a group of crafty folks who have come together to promote and sell their items online and at craft shows. Here’s a rundown of a few of our members:

Andrea – Otherwise known as the Ambitious Hamster

Andrea lives with her husband Michael in Bixby, Oklahoma, in their newly acquired house in the ‘burbs. (They are liking the quiet ‘burb life in Bixby quite a bit). She enjoys knitting, sewing, working with paper, and acquiring craft supplies through using coupons, sales, and garage sales.  When not watching Magnum, p.i. re-runs while knitting, she can be found checking email, buying fabric, or sleeping. Michael – the painter

Michael enjoys painting with acrylics and drawing. He’s been drawing on paper, walls and other miscellaneous surfaces for as far back as he can remember.  He has a very snazzy important day job but would rather be home painting or even mowing the lawn. When not helping Andrea move heavy stuff around he can be found drawing, painting, or working on their new screen printing projects.
 


 


Ren – In the West Coast Paper Lotus Satellite Office

Karen Bates calls herself “Ren” because there is another card designer out there with the same name.

Ren Bates makes odd little drawings of outcasts, weirdos and occasionally fluffy bunnies. She grew up in New Jersey, lives in California and dreams of something between the two. Before throwing her hat into the Paperlotus ring she studied English Literature, illustrated textbooks, lettered comics and slept in on Saturdays.

Ren prefers her whisky neat and her desk messy and lives with one husband and one cat right on the border of three towns.
